About Pare & Prune
I got tired of watching people manage symptoms instead of preventing problems.
Pare & Prune is a one-person supplement company run by a pharmacist who still trains. Every formula on this site is one I built because I couldn't find a version of it I'd hand to a patient.
- Doctor of Pharmacy
- Certified trainer
- Formulates every product
- Illinois, USA
I'm Maamoun Hossayrami. I'm a Doctor of Pharmacy, a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, and a dad of three boys who still lifts four days a week.
For years I stood behind a pharmacy counter and watched the same story play out. Someone in their forties, doing everything they were supposed to do, slowly accumulating prescriptions. Ibuprofen every day for knees that hurt after training. A joint supplement from the shelf that did nothing, then a different one, then a third.
Most joint supplements fail for a boring reason.
It isn't that the ingredients don't work. It's that there isn't enough of them in the bottle.
A brand puts curcumin on the label because curcumin has research behind it. Then they include 200mg of unstandardised turmeric powder, which is a fraction of what any of that research used, and hide it inside a "proprietary blend" so you can't check. It costs them almost nothing and it reads exactly like the real thing on a shelf.
The second problem is absorption. Curcumin on its own is poorly absorbed and cleared quickly. Without something like BioPerine alongside it, even a generous dose delivers far less than the label implies. Plenty of products skip it.
If I can't tell you the milligrams, I shouldn't be selling it to you.
The rule every Pare & Prune formula has to pass
So I built the one I'd actually recommend.
Joint Jumper is three ingredients. 1,500mg of Curcuma Longa standardised to 95% curcuminoids. 300mg of Boswellia Serrata at 65% boswellic acid, which works through a different pathway, so the two aren't redundant. 60mg of BioPerine so your body can actually use the first two.
Every number is printed on the bottle. There is no proprietary blend, because a proprietary blend is how a company avoids telling you there isn't much in there.
It's made in a GMP facility in the United States and third-party tested. I don't sell it through marketplace resellers, so the bottle you get came from us.
- 1,500mg Curcuma Longa per serving
- 95% Curcuminoid standardisation
- 3 Ingredients, all disclosed

What I won't tell you.
I won't tell you this cures anything, because it doesn't, and any supplement company that says otherwise is telling you something they're not allowed to say.
I won't tell you you'll feel it tomorrow. Most people who notice a change mention it somewhere around weeks three and four. Some people don't notice anything, which is why there's a 30-day money-back guarantee and why I'd rather refund you than argue.
And I won't tell you it's cheap. It's the most common hesitation I hear and it's a fair one. The honest answer is that the cheap version is cheap because there isn't much in it.
- Clinically dosed, with every milligram on the label
- Formulated by a pharmacist, not a contract manufacturer's catalogue
- Third-party tested, GMP facility, made in the USA
- No disease claims, no fear marketing, no fake urgency
- 30-day money-back guarantee, no argument
That's the whole company. One person, two products, and a rule about milligrams.
If you've got a question about the formula, email me. It genuinely is me answering.
