The alarming statistics indicate that approximately 14.7 million children and adolescents in the United States alone are affected by this issue.

As coaches, parents, teachers, and family members, we play a significant role in helping children develop healthy habits and achieve a healthy weight. In addition to the tips mentioned in this article, several other strategies can help children achieve optimal health and prevent obesity-related health issues in the future.

For instance, encouraging children to reduce screen time and participate in outdoor activities can be beneficial. It is also important to limit the intake of sugary beverages and encourage drinking more water.

Moreover, it is crucial to provide support to overweight or obese children to help them overcome any physical or emotional challenges they may face. Supporting them in making healthier food choices and making physical activity a fun and enjoyable experience can go a long way in helping them achieve their weight loss goals.
